Last weekend was the 10th edition of Hip Hop You Don’t Stop, organized by our good friends at Prevention CDN-NDG. A legendary event among residents of the neighborhood and the hiphop community in Montreal, it included conferences, concerts, painting workshops, breakdance battles, a BBQ, a basketball and barber competition, as well as the famous graffiti truck battle presented by A'shop.

This year showcased such acts as Nomadic Massive, Illa J, End Of The Weak Montreal, Alquimia Verbal as well as a performance by Ken Swift, bboy founder of Rock Steady Crew. As for the graffiti truck battle, well, competition was fierce!

Congratulations to Astro and Pask who won the 1st place prize of 70 cans offered by A’shop.

Dodo Ose, Monk-Ea and Fléo of K6A crew teamed up with Miss Teri and secured the 2nd place prize gift bag offered by Boro Clothing.

In third place, Stare and Scan went in with the color combos and got themselves the 3rd prize package from Fake Store.

Thank you to all the artists who participated, and thank you to judges Sen2, Fluke and Zek.It was a tough call, and the two winners only had a 1 point difference out of a 144 and 145 point score respectively! The criteria used to juge was unicity of theme, lettering, character, colours and cleanliness.

I would like to also apologize to Scan, Lyfer, Awe, Skor and Pito because it was too dark when I took your pictures and they didn’t come out well. Sorry guys!
